Our History
Building Africa's Tomorrow, One Step at a Time
African GDP was born out of a deep passion for creating a better future for sub-Saharan Africa. Established in 2021, our organization is comprised of a team of experienced professionals with a wealth of knowledge in international development, business, and policy advocacy.
Over the years, AFD has built a strong institutional capacity, forged strategic partnerships, and mobilized resources to make a lasting impact in the lives of many across the region. We are driven by a mission to promote inclusivity, sustainability, and innovation in all our work, empowering women and youth, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, and collaborating with civil society organizations, financial institutions, and governments alike.
At African GDP, we believe that development is not a one-size-fits-all approach, and that each community has unique needs that require tailored solutions. We work closely with local communities to co-create solutions that are culturally appropriate, environmentally sustainable, and socially impactful.
